The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA’s) recently revised rule to protect workers from exposure to respirable crystalline silica took effect June 23^rd, 2016, after which industries have one to five years to comply. The new OSHA regulation is complex and can be confusing for the various players across the hydraulic fracturing supply chain to fully understand their specific compliance requirements and the financial impact of non-compliance.
