Phosphate Fertilizer – DAP, MAP, TSP & SSP
Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP), Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) and Single Super Phosphate (SSP) fertilizers, derived from naturally occurring phosphate ore, are the most widely used products for delivery of the essential plant nutrient phosphorous (P) to the soil. DAP and MAP also contain nitrogen (N), another essential plant nutrient. Millions of tons of these phosphate fertilizer products are used worldwide to grow the quantity of food needed to support an increasing global population.
Effective and efficient manufacturing, storage, delivery and application of these products is strategically vital to our global food supply security, but this presents a number of challenges—particularly economic and EH&S related ones. P is a finite resource on our planet and so proper stewardship of available phosphate rock deposits requires exceptional operational efficiencies in the typically large-scale manufacturing processes used to produce phosphate fertilizers. Efforts to minimize degradation during downstream handling of these products is also important for safety, environmental and economic reasons.
At ArrMaz, we produce process chemicals such as defoamers which are supplied to phosphate fertilizer manufacturers to optimize their production processes, maximize their capacities and enhance product quality. We also produce functional additives for these fertilizers which improve their integrity and marketability, partly by reducing their tendency to cake and to generate dust during various handling steps along the supply chain or by modifying the appearance of the fertilizer. These chemicals are tailor-made for each individual operational scenario and are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and agronomic needs.
In addition to providing application system design consultation services for our chemicals to phosphate fertilizer manufacturers, ArrMaz’s field technical experts also function as process advisors working with our customers’ engineers, production managers and operations personnel to optimize process performance and product quality.
